Traveling with your Pet or Service Animal: Pet-friendly airline will accept domesticated cats, dogs and household birds for a fee of ($125 one way for U.S./Canada, Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico). (Outside the U.S. for a fee of $200 one way), (and Brazil $150 one way). Pets are not allowed in the First Class/ Business Elite / Business Class cabin on any international segment, regardless of aircraft type due to insufficient space. On Delta flights to Hawaii, pets will not be accepted as carry-on baggage. Fees and pet policies may be subject to change at any time.

Delta Airline welcomes service and emotional support animals on the domestic system and many international destinations for no fee in the cabin; and emotional support animals may accompany a passenger with a disability on a flight but requires documentation. A kennel is not required for emotional support animals if they are trained and meet same requirements as a service animal. The only service animal permitted into Hawaii is a service dog with appropriate health documentation.

Carry-On Baggage: Each Passenger may bring one personal item (purse, briefcase, laptop, etc.) plus one carry-on bag. For a carry-on bag to fit in the overhead bin, your item must not exceed: (22" x 14" x 9" or 56 x 35 x 23 cm 45 linear inches or 114 cm) in combined length, width and height, including any handles and wheels. Items such as strollers, child restraint seats or assistive devices such as wheelchairs or crutches are not counted against the "one-bag plus one personal-type item" limit. If you use a collapsible personal wheelchair, you may ask to have it stowed on board when you are pre-boarded if it meets the size and weight restrictions. In addition to the one bag carry-on allowance, passengers may bring the following infant items onto the plane as an additional free item: booster seat or other infant seat, or bassinet item must meet carry-on size restrictions.

Checked Baggage Fees for a Single Ticket Per Bag One Way: Checked baggage allowance and fees may vary depending on cabin status, airline member status, military status, itinerary and date of purchase. Children’s strollers and seat restraints are not counted as part of the standard baggage and therefore can be checked for free, and these items may be checked at curbside, the ticket counter, or at the gate. Passengers checked bags must not exceed (62" (157.48 cm) in overall dimensions (length + width + height) and cannot exceed (50 pounds (23 kg or less). Additional bags: Travel within the United States (including the U.S. Virgin Islands & Puerto Rico), and Travel between Canada and the United States fees 1st bag $25, 2nd bag $35, 3rd bag $150, the 4th-10th bag $200.

Overweight Baggage: (51-70 pounds):$100 per bag, (71-100 pounds): $200 per bag, Bags exceeding 100 lbs. are not allowed.

Over-sized Baggage: (63-80 inches (161-203 cm) in combined length, width, and height: $200 per bag. Any baggage larger than (80 inches 203 cm) will not be accepted, with the exception of some specialty items which may be up to (115 inches (292 cm). Up to ten bags may be checked per passenger on flights operated by Delta and up to four total checked bags on Delta Connection. Additional, overweight and oversized baggage is accepted on a standby basis. Deferent fees and polices apply to international checked baggage.

Active duty U.S. military personnel on orders to or from duty stations and dependents traveling with them or active U.S. military dependents traveling separately on relocation orders may check the following at no charge: Bag size can be up to (80 in (203 cm) 70 lbs. (32 kg) when you total length+width+height: for Delta One, First Class, Business Class cabin passengers five bags free, and for Main Cabin four bags free.

Active duty U.S. military on Personal Travel Bag size can be up to (62 inches (157 cm) 50 lbs. (23 kg) when you total length+width+height: for Delta One, First Class, Business class cabins three bags free, and for Main cabin two bags free. Benefits extend to up to eight other companions traveling with the U.S. military personnel. The companions' must be on the same itinerary as the US military personnel or the companions' itineraries must match exactly to the active duty U.S. military personnel's itinerary.
